Hero Awards

Each year, the Argentum Hero Awards recognize individuals who are ideal representatives of the hundreds of thousands of people serving in the senior living field. Nominated by regional/company executives and executive directors of senior living communities, these individuals represent the highest levels of excellence, caring and dedication in the senior living business, and mirror all the hard-working people choosing to serve seniors. The open period for nominations is November 19, 2018 - January 21, 2019.

Nomination questions:
  • Please provide a specific example of the nominee's exemplary behavior that changed the life of a resident or the family of a resident that sets them apart from their peers.
  • How does the nominee inspire that workplace and/or their peers?
  • Does the nominee have a background or story that is central to their excellent work in senior living?  Please include any professional or personal achievements, if applicable.
  • Up to three optional brief testimonials

Hero Award: Leadership in the Face of a Natural Disaster

The Hero Award for Leadership in the Face of a Natural Disaster recognizes an individual who demonstrated courage, valor, and clear-thinking during a natural disaster in 2018. Recipients of this special category for 2019 will be recognized at the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference. The open period for nominations is November 19, 2018 - January 21, 2019.

Nomination questions:
  • Which natural disaster was your community affected in 2018?
  • Describe how your community was affected by this natural disaster.
  • Describe how the nominee aided the members of the community (residents, staff, family members, etc.) during this emergency.
  • Describe how the nominee implemented the community's emergency preparedness plan.
  • If applicable, describe how the event changed your community's operations.
  • Up to three optional photos
  • Up to three optional brief testimonials

Senior Living Community Leadership Award

The Executive Director is responsible for providing overall leadership in the day-to-day operation of a senior living community. This person is charged with maintaining staff, resident and family engagement in addition to budget adherence and regulatory compliance. During the Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference an Executive Director will be honored for exemplary leadership in senior living community management. Argentum is eager to recognize the role and service of the selected 2019 Executive Director with the sixth annual Community Leadership award. The open period for nominations is November 19, 2018 - January 21, 2019.

Nomination questions:

  • Please provide a specific example of the nominee's exemplary behavior that changed the life of a resident or the family of a resident that sets them apart from their peers.
  • Please provide a specific example of the nominee's exemplary behavior that changed the life of a staff member that sets them apart from their peers.
  • How does the nominee inspire employee engagement and staff satisfaction?
  • How has the nominee improved business operations at the community?  Please include specific metrics to support their success.
  • Does the nominee have a background or story that is central to their excellent work in senior living?  Please include any professional or personal achievements if applicable.
  • Up to three optional brief testimonials
