Welcome to the Artist Alley Application
We are asking all creators and collectives interested in participating in the Artist Alley at the 2023 ALA Annual Conference to apply using this submission site.
To participate:
Participants agree to provide ALA with a framed original piece up to 11" x 17" in size of art on canvas or cardstock (by the applying artist) that is library, reading, literacy themed or appropriate in a library setting to be used in the Artist Alley Silent Auction. The Silent Auction raises funds for ALA scholarships and grants. In exchange, accepted participants will receive a free table exhibit space in the 2023 ALA Annual Conference Exhibition.
Note that there is no table sharing unless the work is a verified collaboration; this will be decided on a case by case basis.
Artist Alley is limited to 30 participants. NOTE: ALL SUBMISSIONS WILL BE REVIEWED. Art deemed to contain adult material will not be accepted. Submission does not guarantee a table.
Submission deadline: April 20, 2023
Those not selected can participate in a paid space consisting of a 6' skirted table in the Artist Alley area. These additional paid spaces are limited.
Don't be a "no show". If you are accepted and find you cannot attend, please make arrangements for your artwork to be sent to Chicago to be included in the Silent Auction.
