Welcome to the ALA 2021 Annual Conference Meet the Authors submission site. The Meet the Authors program allows exhibitors to promote the virtual appearance of authors during ALA Annual Virtual. All Meet the Authors sessions will be listed in the Annual Virtual conference schedule.
Exhibitors have two options to list the Author/Illustrator appearances in their booth.

Option 1: Host your Meet the Authors session through the Cadmium Virtual Event platform.
Features of this option include a video chat room set up with your Moderator/Author/Illustrator. Total capacity for the video chat room is 5 people at one time (including the Moderator/Author/Illustrator.) Attendees will be able to wait in a queue to enter your Meet the Authors session. If you are utilizing this option, you will submit your information in this submission site.
Login and "Click here to begin a new submission" to start.
All submissions are due May 14.
Cadmium will provide training to exhibitors utilizing this function.

Please submit one for each occurrence of Author/Illustrator appearance in your exhibit booth.

(Note: Meet the Authors listings are for appearances in exhibit booths ONLY. Other author appearances, such as "What's Cooking Stage'" "Book Buzz," Session Programs, etc. are promoted through those programs.)

Requests must be submitted by May 14, 2021 to be included in the Annual Conference Virtual Platform. Submission site will close on May 15, 2021.

Option 2: Host your Meet the Authors session in your own video conferencing platform. You would provide the video conference link to be listed for each Meet the Authors session. Your session and link will viewable within the Annual Virtual Platform. If you are utilizing this option, you will submit your information in the Submission site at this link https://www.abstractscorecard.com/cfp/submit/login.asp?EventKey=XTMYLEJB , and you do not need to use this submission site to submit your Meet the Authors session. Deadline for this option is June 1.

All Meet the Authors sessions will be listed in the Annual Virtual event platform (both the Cadmium option and the Host Your Own option.)

You can schedule your Meet the Authors session at the 2021 ALA Annual Conference during any of our exhibit hours.

  • Wednesday, June 23 | 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Thursday, June 24 | 10:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • Friday, June 25 | 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
  • Saturday, June 26 | 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

    Please note that Bookshelf Listings, Artist Alley, and Standard Booths include one (1) Meet the Authors session listing. Additional Meet the Authors session listings submitted will be invoiced at $25 per listing.
    Upgraded, Silver, Gold and Platinum exhibitors have unlimited Meet the Authors listings.
