The Fifth Annual eTourism Summit Excellence Awards (the "eTSY" Awards) — in partnership with Expedia Group Media Solutions and Zartico — recognizes and celebrates the best of 2021-2022 campaigns and programs with awards in eight categories.

Will you help us recognize the best of digital tourism marketing by submitting your entry by April 1, 2022?

Let’s talk about trending topics. Did you introduce an attention-grabbing campaign around sustainability, diversity, or economic development? Have you found a new way to involve the community, to support local small businesses, or to promote road trips? Perhaps a data-driven campaign that rocked the ROI? These are just suggestions, you can take it from here.

The eTourism Community wants to know about your best work, how you communicated the messaging, and what made it digitally dynamite. See last year's winners here. The winning entries will be announced and presented at eTourism Summit, June 6-8, 2022 in Orlando.


Innovation in:
  1. Brand Refresh
  2. During the pandemic, quite a few destinations used the pause in programming to reevaluate their brand's look and feel. Were you one?
  3. Campaign That Went Viral
  4. Tell us more! How, when and where was the campaign rolled out, and what was its reach? Describe the strategy and the results, indicating spend and ROI..
  5. Influencer Marketing
  6. How did you work with individuals / travel agents / media / meeting planners that reinforced a targeted message, what platforms, what results? Mention budget as well.
  7. Podcast
  8. With ever-increasing popularity for destination marketing, podcasts are gaining traction. Did you add one or enhance an existing one? Share the strategy, the format, the engagement..
  9. Social Media
  10. How was your destination's digital campaign built around social media? What was its purpose, target, and why? How was that achieved and/or surpassed?
  11. Video
  12. Include one or more clips with a brief on its purpose, targeted audience and distribution strategy as well as budget and creative partners.
  13. Website
  14. If a newly revamped website with a better user experience was recently undertaken, explain the changes, the traffic increases, time spent on site, etc.
  15. “Best of the Best” (a new award that eTourism Summit attendees will vote for at the live event)
    This is awarded to the entry that judges find rises above all other campaigns.

January 24: Call for entries
April 1 (extended): Entry deadline (midnight EDT)
April 4: Judging process starts
April 18: Judging process ends (midnight EDT)
June 7: eTSY Awards presented at eTourism Summit

Campaigns with a program start date between June 1, 2021 and May 31, 2022 are eligible.

All entries will be judged by a jury of your peers on a scale of 1-10 (1=bleh to 10=heavenly) based on the following:
  1. Strategy and objective
  2. Creativity
  3. Impact/Measurability
