The 2025 Texas Emergency Management Conference selection committee is now accepting presentation applications. Previous conferences welcomed over 3,500 participants that included individuals new to the emergency management community and expert emergency managers with decades of experience. The selection committee will consider workshop proposals that address the vast demands of the Texas Emergency Management audience and the whole community.

Proposals are due through this portal on, or before December 15, 2024. Final selection of proposals will be made no later than March 2025 and a notification will be sent via email to include draft presentation schedule.

Submission Instructions
TDEM appreciates the value that each presenter’s expertise, background and experience bring to The Conference 2025. TDEM offers the following benefits to selected speakers:
Sessions are 30 or 60 minutes in length. Sessions requiring more than 60 minutes are evaluated on room availability.
Room Setup and Equipment
Rooms will be set up in classroom or theater style. Each room will consist of a laptop, podium, projector, and screen. Internet access is not provided. Presentation materials must be brought on a thumb drive to upload at the conference.
- Subject matter expertise
- Relevance to emergency management in Texas
- Advances at least one of the key phases of emergency management through innovation or technology
- Promotes research strategies and ideas that inform emergency managers
- Ability to engage and involve the audience
- Benefit of the information to audience members

Submission Instructions
- Proposals will be submitted by clicking the Save Submission button at the top, once all tasks are complete. A confirmation email will be sent after submitting. A separate form must be completed for each submission.
- Submission of a proposal does not guarantee selection for The Conference.
- Co-presenters must be available to present on any day of The Conference.
- All presenters are individually responsible for their own travel, transportation, parking, lodging and meal costs.
- Individuals must complete the submission process in its entirety. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
- Deliver presentation(s) at dates and times assigned
- Permission to be photographed or digitally captured
- Permission for TDEM to share presentation online for download following the conclusion of The Conference (will make exceptions for sensitive presentations upon request)
- TDEM reserves the right to edit program summaries of selected submissions for promotional materials associated with The Conference.
