2026 American College of Surgeons Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference

The American College of Surgeons has issued a call for abstracts to be presented at its 2026 Quality, Safety & Cancer Conference. The deadline for submitting abstracts is March 9, 2026 at 11:59 CST. Healthcare and Quality Improvement professionals are encouraged to submit a 250-word abstract for presentation. The abstract should relate to surgical quality improvement initiatives including the development, implementation, or validation of best practices. Authors may submit as many abstracts as they wish.

Abstracts will undergo a peer review process that will focus on the following criteria:

• Quality and originality of the work
• Significance and applicability to improving surgical care
• Relevance to quality improvement and best practices
• Completed research
• Clarity of writing

Notes:

• Presenting authors and co-authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation will be responsible for payment of the conference registration fee, if presenting on-site at the conference.
• Presenting authors whose abstracts are accepted for presentation on-site will be responsible for printing their own posters to bring to the conference; posters will not be printed on an author’s behalf.
• Accepted abstracts will be presented in-person only. There will be no virtual option to present.
