The Emergency Nurses Association (ENA) is looking for 2021 programming content from experts like you. Below are the avenues to which you can submit your personal story, research, conference presentation, and other emergency nursing content. Members and non-members are encouraged to submit abstracts.

You may stop and start your submission at any time, save and return to it later, any time prior to the submission deadline. THE SUBMISSION DEADLINE HAS BEEN EXTENDED THROUGH THURSDAY, JANUARY 21, 2021, AT NOON (CENTRAL).

ENA PODCAST

Featuring member interviews, news, and updates directly from the Emergency Nurses Association, the ENA Podcast provides monthly updates to all things emergency nursing. This is your opportunity to tell us your story. Triumph, tragedy, lessons learned and/or mistakes avoided, the ENA Podcast is collecting your stand out events. Submit your podcast proposal and be considered for the 2021 line up.

EMERGENCY NURSING 2021

The Emergency Nursing 2021 Annual Meeting, September 22-25, 2021 in sunny Orlando.

Please review the Statement of Understanding for conference education abstracts before starting a submission.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• Log on to the ENA CadmiumCD Portal (Scorecard) to begin the submission process
• Complete the required tasks (description, outline, speaker agreements, etc.)
• Submit a Conflict of Interest Form for all authors/coauthors
• Input a maximum of three speakers per presentation submission

Submissions must select a primary target audience:
1. Advanced practice
2. Leadership and Management (supervisory and/ or administrative roles)
3. Clinical
4. Educator
5. Emerging Professional (less than 5 years experience)
6. Air & Surface Transport Nurse

Submissions must select a primary topic area (up to three):
(1) Behavioral Health; (2) Chronic Disease; (3) Clinical Knowledge
(4) Disaster Preparedness; (5) Diversity & Inclusion; (6) Forensics
(7) Geriatrics; (8) Global Perspectives; (9) Health and Wellness
(10) Infectious Disease; (11) Innovation; (12) Leadership and Management
(13) Legal; (14) Pandemic Preparedness; (15) Pediatrics; (16) Pharmacology
(17) Quality and Safety; (18) Resuscitation
(19) Throughput; (20) Trauma

Submissions must select a primary presentation format:
1. Fast Track (25 minutes)
2. Learning Hour (45 minutes)
3. Deep Dive (2.5 hours)
4. Pre-conference Workshop (3.5 hours)
5. Roundtable (60 minutes-Brief presentation/ facilitated discussion)

PRESENTATION SELECTIONS
Conference presentations offer the opportunity to exchange ideas, network and impact the quality of education for emergency nurses. Abstracts should reflect sound adult learning principles and the best thinking in the field, informed by theory, research and practice.

To deliver exceptional learning experiences, preference may be given to proposals that are positioned to deliver a mix of the following:

CONTENT: Reflects innovative, cutting-edge content and evidence-based practice • Addresses a gap in nursing practice • Explores issues important to diverse audiences • Demonstrates the relevance of lessons through “real-life” case studies

INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN: Stimulates and provokes discussion, audience engagement, and outcome-focused design • Facilitates knowledge transfer and development of new competencies • Uses methods that draw out relevant past knowledge and experiences

Each submission will be blind peer-reviewed by a minimum of three emergency nurses.
