Welcome to the SIO 2019 Abstract Submission Site
Abstract submission is now open and will close on Wednesday, 9 January 2018 at 11:59 PM ET.
Share your research with more than 700 professionals in the global IO community and gain recognition from your peers. There are no restrictions on the number of abstracts you may submit or on the number of submissions you may present. Additionally, SIO does not have a policy that limits prior presentation of data. SIO does not accept trials in progress or case reports.
All accepted abstracts will be featured on SIO-Central and recognized in the 2019 conference app. The top peer-reviewed abstract will be selected to present during a SIO 2019 Scientific Annual Meeting plenary session. All abstracts will be eligible for Best Abstract awards in Boston.
*Submit a video to feature a surgical procedure or tip and trick. Video submissions should be no longer than 10 minutes.
NO-SHOW POLICY
On rare occasions, presenters scheduled to present their poster fail to show up and have not notified SIO of the change in plans. When presenters do not appear to present their poster, the planning efforts of the Scientific Chair and Program Committee in providing a quality program are diminished significantly, there are significant cost implications, and the audience is unnecessarily disappointed with empty poster boards. Staff will audit all posters for no shows and this may result in ineligibility for future SIO meetings.
WITHDRAWALS
Acceptance of the abstract by the review committee obligates the author to be present. If circumstances prevent attendance, the author must arrange for the poster to be presented by a substitute, preferably a co-author. If you wish to withdraw your abstract, you must submit your request in writing by Monday, April 29, 2019 to education@sio-central.org including the abstract ID, abstract title, and first author. Failure to comply may result in ineligibility for future SIO meetings abstract submissions as first author.
