Call for Abstracts – FOCIS 2026

The Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS) invites you to submit an abstract for presentation at FOCIS 2026, June 9–12, 2026, at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Share your latest science with the FOCIS community and receive expert peer review. You may view the FOCIS Annual Meeting Abstract Policy for submission guidelines and requirements.

Submission Process

• Extended Deadline: Monday, January 12, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET
• Format: All abstracts must be submitted electronically through the submission site.
• Edits: Revisions may be made until the deadline; no changes will be accepted afterward.

Submission Fee

• Only the presenting author may submit an abstract.
• $30 non-refundable fee per abstract.
• Fee is waived for FOCIS members (use your membership ID).
• Fees will not be refunded if membership is obtained after submission.

Guidelines

• The presenting author must submit and be prepared to present the abstract if accepted. Posters cannot be displayed without a presenter.
• Abstracts that have been or will be published before FOCIS 2026 are not eligible. Exception: abstracts with new or additional data.
• All presenting authors must complete a disclosure form by the deadline; abstracts without a disclosure will be withdrawn.
• Indicate your preference for oral or poster presentation during submission.
• Abstracts must be text only—figures, charts, and images are not accepted.

Review & Placement

• After the deadline, abstracts will be blinded and peer-reviewed by three Abstract Review Committee members.
• Abstracts may be selected for:
  • Oral presentation (15 minutes: 10 presentation + 5 discussion), scheduled Wednesday–Friday afternoons.
  • Poster presentation, scheduled Tuesday–Thursday evenings.
  • Or rejection.
• The Committee has sole discretion for final placement.

Notifications & Registration

• Acceptance notifications: early March 2026.
• Presenting authors must register for FOCIS 2026 by March 20, 2026 for inclusion in the abstract supplement and program.
• Submission or acceptance of an abstract does not constitute meeting registration or secure hotel accommodations.
• Presenters should plan to attend the full Annual Meeting.

Withdrawals

Withdrawal requests must be submitted by the presenting author via email to info@focisnet.org and must include:

1. Abstract submission number
2. Abstract title
3. Presenting author’s name

If the presenting author does not register by the deadline, the abstract will be withdrawn and excluded from the program.

Travel Awards

• Available to FOCIS members whose abstracts are selected for oral presentations. Industry members are not eligible.
• Poster-only abstracts are not eligible.
• Number and amount of awards depend on abstract placement, geography, and available funds.
