Welcome to the NRHC 2027 Proposal Submission Site
Before You Begin
Use your college email address during the proposal process and ensure your Honors Director's contact information is entered correctly. Your director will be copied on important proposal notifications.
We encourage you to discuss your proposal ideas early with your Honors Director, faculty member, or mentor. Be sure to ask about potential financial support for registration and travel expenses.
If you are submitting a proposal on behalf of a student, you must create the proposal using the student's name and email address. A separate account must be created for each student proposal.
You will have an opportunity to provide Honors Director information within each submission.
Proposal Preparation Guide
As you begin developing your proposal, follow these recommended steps:
Step 1: Review the Conference Theme
The conference theme provides context and opportunities for meaningful dialogue. Connecting your proposal to the annual theme is encouraged but not required.

Step 2: Select Your Presentation Format
Choose the format that best fits your work:
- Panel Presentation
- Poster Presentation
- Roundtable
- Idea Exchange
- Performing Arts & Film Showcase
Step 3: Choose a Disciplinary Track
Review the available track descriptions and select the one that best matches your presentation topic.
Step 4: Write Your Proposal
Your proposal should:
- Include an engaging and descriptive title
- Be no more than 300 words
- Use an objective academic writing style
- Clearly state your project's purpose and audience benefit
- Include relevant data, evidence, or supporting information
Step 5: Submit Your Proposal
Ensure your Honors Director has reviewed and approved your proposal before submission.

Even if your proposal is not accepted, you are still welcome to attend NRHC. Please consult your Honors Program Director regarding institutional funding for attendance.
