You will be using this form to complete your nomination for an NAGC award. Click the award title to find out the submission details for each award. Nominations are judged on criteria listed on the website, so be sure to address them when creating the nomination or soliciting letters of recommendation. Rubrics are available for the Gifted Coordinator and Distinguished Scholar awards
NAGC has made equity and serving diverse students a priority. Therefore, we strongly encourage each nominator to include information about how the nominee has addressed equity in gifted education as it pertains to traditionally underserved populations.

Administrator Award
This award is presented to a school administrator outside the field of gifted education who has made a significant contribution to gifted education in his or her school district.
Carolyn Callahan Doctoral Student Awards
Up to five awards are given to doctoral students who exhibit the highest and most consistent degree of scholarship in the gifted education field.
Master's and Specialist Awards
Awards are given to up to three individuals who exhibit the highest potential for future scholarship in the gifted education field.
Early Leader Award
Given to an individual who has exhibited the highest and most consistent degree of leadership in the gifted education field within 10 years of receiving his or her doctorate.
Early Scholar Award
Presented to an individual who has made significant contributions within 10 years of receiving his/her doctorate in conducting and reporting research regarding the education of gifted and talented individuals.
David W. Belin Advocacy Award
Presented to an individual inside or outside the field who has been a consistent advocate on behalf of gifted students and a voice for supporting gifted services in school settings.
Distinguished Service Award
Presented to an individual who has made the most significant contribution to the field of gifted education through a long and fruitful association with NAGC.
Distinguished Scholar Award
Presented to the individual who has made the most significant contribution to the field of education regarding gifted and talented individuals, and whose work exhibits a continued record of distinguished scholarship and contribution. Download the Distinguished Scholar Rubric
Gifted Coordinator
This award is given to a current (or serving within the past year) district coordinator/administrator whose primary focus is on gifted education and who has had a significant and positive impact on the gifted students in his or her district. Download the Gifted Coordinator Rubric
