Call for Mini-Plenary Sessions, Workshops, and Quick Hits

Your scholarship and thought-leadership have the power to shape the practice of pediatric hospital medicine and improve patient care. Submit now to present on the national stage at the Pediatric Hospital Medicine 2026 Conference in Kansas City, MO. The PHM 2026 Planning Committee is accepting proposals for mini-plenaries, workshops and quick hits.

Submissions must be completed online by Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST. All submissions will be reviewed and considered for presentation at PHM 2026.

The PHM 2026 Planning Committee is accepting submissions in the following categories:

  • Advocacy
  • Behavioral Health
  • Belonging, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • The Business and Practice of Hospital Management
  • Clinical Updates
  • Complex Care
  • Health Informatics and Innovation
  • Medical Education
  • Newborn Medicine
  • Patient Safety and Quality Improvement
  • Physician Wellness
  • Professional Development
  • Research and Innovation

 

Submission Types

Please see PHM 2026 Submission Guidelines at the bottom of this page for more information on submission types.

  1. Mini-Plenary Sessions will be allotted a maximum of 75 minutes and should be didactic in nature with audience engagement.
  2. Workshops Interactive Sessions will be allotted a maximum 75-minute timeframe for presentation and should be engaging and interactive. The room will be set in round tables to allow for further engagement.
  3. Quick Hits will be allotted a maximum of 35 minutes for presentation and should be didactic.

 

Important Notes:

  • All lead faculty (one per session) will receive complimentary registration. PHM staff will register the lead faculty member automatically.
  • All co-presenters and facilitators of accepted sessions must be registered for the conference in order to participate accordingly. Please communicate this requirement to those included in your proposal so they are aware of this protocol. Registration is not required in order to submit, however it is required in order to present.
  • Mini-Plenary sessions, Workshops and Quick Hits may be scheduled throughout the duration of the conference, August 6-9, 2026. Please do not submit a proposal unless you are able to appear on any of the four days of the conference.
  • We recognize that your submission may fit into more than one category and the planning committee will address that when reviewing your complete submission.
  • All proposals must be completed and submitted by Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:59 pm EST. No extensions to this deadline will be granted.
  • Acceptance notifications will be sent in March 2026.
  • All submitters will receive feedback provided by reviewers (if provided).
