2024 GSA-CiM-OSR National Meeting

Call for Poster Abstracts

Accepting Submissions Until Friday, January 5, 2024

Join the AAMC’s Group on Student Affairs (GSA), Careers in Medicine (CiM), and Organization of Student Representatives (OSR) communities to connect with colleagues and dive into the strategic, operational, and administrative issues facing learners, faculty, professional staff, and advisors in academic medicine and student services.

The GSA, CiM, and OSR Program Planning Committee invites poster abstracts for the 2024 GSA-CiM-OSR National Meeting Poster Reception. Abstracts should provide colleagues across the GSA, CiM, and OSR communities an opportunity to:

  • Engage in discussions of the hot topics related to preparing the future physician workforce and creating an optimal learning environment for faculty, staff, and learners
  • Share resources, tools, and effective practices for learners, student affairs, student diversity affairs, admissions, records, career advising, and financial aid professionals
  • Understand key issues from new perspectives by networking across diverse groups
  • Engage in real-time collaboration and problem-solving for the challenges facing our GSA, CiM, and OSR communities
  • Create collaborations and solutions for the challenges facing our GSA, CiM, and OSR communities at the conference and beyond

Submissions on a wide variety of topics are welcome. Don't miss this opportunity to elevate a topic you care about, showcase an innovation or project, and share your experiences and lessons learned for the benefit of peers and leaders across our communities.

Collaborations

The Program Committee will give highest preference to collaborative submissions that reflect meaningful integration of each group’s perspective. Submissions can be designed to:

1. Address issues and/or topics important to all three groups, GSA, CiM, and OSR.

2. Address issues and/or topics meaningful to a clearly identified subset of the groups.

3. Address specific community issues or reflect meaningful integration of perspectives from more than one institution.

All submissions will be reviewed based on the following criteria: relevance, audience engagement, collaboration, learning objectives and take-home values, learning application, and clarity of writing. The Committee reserves the right to suggest submission consolidation, where appropriate, and will notify submitters directly of such recommendations.
