Welcome to the Webinar Series Call for Presentations
Present a Webinar with AIANYS!
Join AIANYS as we offer dynamic education to our members online! If you have a powerful 90-minute single presenter or panel program you would like to present to the architectural community, submit it today! Programs will be scheduled between October and December 2020. Submissions are subject to review and should cater to small and medium-sized firms.
Speaker Guidelines that are in accordance with AIA quality assurance policies can be read below. Proposals will be reviewed by members of the AIANYS Webinar Task Force. If you have questions on the guidelines or the submission process, please contact Molly Bibisi at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Taken from the CES Course Directories list, presentations should fall under one of the following categories: Building Science & Performance · Design & Design Services · Legal · Materials & Methods · Practice · Project Management · Project Types · and Sustainable Design. While we will be accepting submissions in a wide variety of subject areas, we are especially interested in presentations that focus on the many business management challenges firms face, including: Contract Negotiation, Marketing, and all areas of Human Resource management.
Seminars should be 90 minutes in duration. Audience member interaction is very important and is one criterion for selection. The number of presenters per session will be limited to four panelists, including a moderator. Each speaker and/or panel member must be listed separately with all contact information provided.
AIANYS will retain a complete set of materials (including PowerPoint presentations, handouts, and a list of samples) on file for each seminar in order to meet The American Institute of Architects mandates. Seminar and workshop presenters will be required to submit a master copy of their visual presentation materials in electronic format for CES review at least 4 weeks prior to the presentation to be distributed to symposium attendees in advance. Please do not submit seminar materials as part of your proposal.
Continuing Education Submittal
Once selected, AIANYS will submit your program to the American Institute of Architects CES to ensure that the appropriate LUs and HSW credits within AIA and New York mandatory education guidelines are applied and to avoid any possible confusion of credit.
The final step in the program design and delivery process is evaluation. To better implement future programming, participants will evaluate your session on the following criteria:
- How well did the content match the published description?
- How clearly stated were the learning objectives and were they met?
- How effective were the uploaded material and did they add value?
- How fulfilled were the attendees’ expectations?
- How valuable was the topic to the attendee?
