Welcome to the PBSA Annual Conference Abstract Submission Site
PBSA is making every effort to hold the Annual Conference as a hybrid event with the live portion taking place in Anaheim, CA. We are currently monitoring the guidelines for meeting safely by working closely with the Anaheim Marriott to ensure the safest venue for our event. At this time, we are waiting on Orange County to update its regulations to allow for large gatherings and as such we have not made a final decision for the conference. Whether the conference is hybrid or remote, we will be holding an Annual conference and are now in the process of accepting speaker submissions! If you are interested in speaking at the conference, please submit your abstract and indicate your current comfort level regarding meeting in person in September 2021. Please note that your response will not impact the rating of your session and we recognize that comfort levels are constantly changing. Once we have determined whether the conference will be hybrid or fully virtual we will reach out to confirm your willingness to participate as a speaker at the Annual Conference.
Submission
PBSA provides educational sessions aimed at empowering members to better serve their clients, while adhering to standards of excellence in the background screening industry. Sessions should be designed to educate attendees working within the background screening industry and be geared toward foundational or advanced level learning. Consider the level of detail you will be providing and how in-depth your session will be.
We're looking for a variety of topics, including but not limited to:
PBSA asks you to PLEASE keep in mind the audience for this conference includes consumer reporting agencies (background screeners), partners to consumer reporting agencies who may provide products or services that are used in the preparation of consumer reports or within their businesses generally, consultants, and End-Users (i.e. employers). Your presentation and discussions should keep all audiences in mind and ensure nothing is presented which would advantage one member over another.
NOTE: The maximum number of submissions per author is five. Your proposal must provide educational content and must not imply that it may be a sales or marketing pitch for a company, product or service. A session that is not appropriate and/or educational in nature will not be considered.
Guidelines:
- Membership in PBSA is NOT a requirement
- Proposals should be in English
- No fees are required to submit a proposal
- PBSA does not pay speaker fees or expenses
- Maximum submission of 5 proposals per presenter
The submission deadline is May 19, 2021.
