Theme - Engage, Learn and Lead: Step Into Your Power!

This year, AAUW invites hundreds of college women from around the country for three days of leadership training, inspiration and networking at our National Conference for College Women Student Leaders (NCCWSL).

Workshops will be held May 31 - June 3, 2023 At University of Maryland, College Park. This year a STEM half day session will be held on May 31, Workshops Jun 1-2, Workshop submissions are for June 1-2.

Who is your audience?
Attendees are current college women leaders on their campuses and in their communities. While most students are undergraduates, NCCWSL also attracts graduate students, campus professionals and a growing number of nontraditional students who are interested in leadership.

What do they expect to learn?
NCCWSL is designed to help students by focusing on the following learning objectives. Your submission should target at least one of these objectives:
  • Professional Development: Build a professional toolkit for post-graduate life
  • Leadership Development: Develop and strengthen a leadership narrative through voice, skill set and mindset
  • Activism: Know the how, why, and when to take action
  • Women’s Issues: Gain a better understanding of issues and policies affecting women locally, nationally and globally
  • Identity & Diversity: Own one’s personal identity and role in increasing and supporting diverse voices
The 2023 NCCWSL encourages you to submit a workshop proposal for 1 1/2 hour sessions by February 13, 2023 at 11:59 PM EST. Each individual or group can submit up to two proposals. Workshop submissions are for June 1-2 only.
