Scaling Collective Impact: Collaborating to Accelerate Agricultural Sustainability

Agriculture is in a unique position. On top of being the source of food, feed, fiber and fuel for billions of people around the globe, we have the potential to not only improve our own footprint but also provide solutions for some of the largest environmental and social challenges of the day. How do we transform this incredible potential into needle-shifting reality?

Many in agriculture have been working within their own supply chains to make progress, but it's clear that no single organization or sector can drive this transformation alone. Every link in the broader food and agriculture value chain has a critical role to play in developing and implementing solutions that support healthy ecosystems, communities and bottom lines.

Join us for the ninth annual Sustainable Agriculture Summit, Scaling Collective Impact, as we explore how leveraging the interconnectedness embedded within U.S. agriculture can help us scale our collective action and achieve sustainable outcomes faster and more efficiently.

Considerations for Selection

Each submission will be evaluated based on alignment with the Summit theme and selection criteria. Emphasis will be placed on appeal to our diverse audience of food companies, government agencies, academics, conservation groups, and farmers. Additionally, the ability to drive the sustainability conversation forward for the food, farming, and agriculture industry's value chains will be strongly considered.

Preference will be given to unique proposals that conform to session topics and target audiences as outlined, and/or proposals that bring forth compelling speakers or panelists. Only presentations offering vendor-neutral content will be considered. Breakouts will be 45-60 minutes in length with a priority for new submitters and/or new topics. Selection and scheduling for breakout sessions will be at the discretion of the Summit organizers.

The Summit organizers request proposals that:

  • Directly connect with the overall theme of this year’s Summit, Scaling Collective Impact
  • Creatively showcase how challenges can be/have been turned into opportunities
  • Consider the natural resource, economic, and human challenges and opportunities that will drive sustainable supply chains in the future
  • Feature projects, collaborations, and successes that shine a light on possible sustainable futures for agriculture and the food industry
  • Speakers should be able to provide specific examples of actions, outcomes, learnings, etc. that attendees can implement, adapt, and scale in their own businesses and operations
  • Represent a breadth of perspectives across supply chain segments, commodities, geographies, experiences, etc.
  • Proposals must include 3-5 learning objectives and audience takeaways. Please include methods for engaging the audience.

PROPOSAL DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 25, 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
