The 2026 Texas Emergency Management Conference is now accepting submissions for Awards Nominations. Previous conferences welcomed over 4,000 participants that included individuals new to the emergency management community and expert emergency managers with decades of experience.

Nominations must be submitted through The Conference's online portal no later than April 10, 2026. Final selections will be made by late April 2026, followed by email notifications of the award winners. Once your account is set up, log in anytime to access your profile and view or update your submission(s).

Awards Nomination Information

Texas Division of Emergency Management recognizes individuals that have paved the way for Emergency Management. The Conference 2026 Awards Luncheon will focus on recognition of citizens, emergency management professionals, and organizations for their outstanding service within the community.

Nomination Submission
Nomination forms must be filled out completely to be considered, with justifications limited to 2,500 characters. Attach a short biography and a picture (headshot) of the nominee with the nomination. The deadline to submit nominations is April 10, 2026.

Nomination Procedures
Each individual award category contains unique nomination criteria and should include specific facts, achievements, and examples showing how the individual or team is exceptional. Achievements should distinguish the nominee from peers. Nominations must be submitted by a TDEM division chief, assistant division chief, district coordinator, local emergency management coordinator, mayor, county judge, fire chief, law enforcement director or EMS director unless otherwise noted.
