2023 AATB Annual Meeting Educational Session and Abstract Submissions

About the AATB Annual Meeting

The 2023 AATB Annual Meeting, September 17-20, 2023, in National Harbor, MD, is devoted to providing extensive opportunities for tissue banking professionals from all generations to network, collaborate, and align for the future. This year's conference theme, “Aligning for the Future,” encourages attendees to connect with colleagues and partners within the tissue industry and explore new ways to work together to align for the future.

Educational Session Proposals
Content and presentations at the AATB Annual Meeting are intended to represent the diverse experience and expertise of the tissue banking community. Presentations will cover quality assurance, regulatory topics, surgical application, donor screening, leadership, tissue processing, and much more.

Education tracks will be formed based on specific topic areas aligning with AATB Councils' areas of operation. Each track will include a minimum of three 75-minute presentations. Proposed educational session submissions must be completed by May 5, 2023. Accepted educational session submissions will be included in the 2023 AATB Annual Meeting agenda. All presentations will be in-person, virtual participation will not be available.

Proposed educational session submissions must include the following:
    • Presentation title
    • Presentation summary
    • Primary speaker name and contact information

Abstract Submissions
The 2023 Annual Meeting is an ideal platform for recognizing outstanding research conducted in the tissue banking community. All submitted and accepted abstracts and corresponding digital posters will be showcased in the abstract display at this year's Annual Meeting, September 17-20, 2023, in National Harbor, MD, and in the conference app and website. In addition, one winner and one spotlight will be chosen per category and invited to present as part of the Scientific and Technical Affairs (STAC) track at the conference.

Submitters of all accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a digital poster to be featured in the AATB Annual Meeting abstract display, conference app, and website. You will be notified of the outcome of your submission by June 12, 2023.

Submitting an abstract confirms that you or a designated speaker/author are willing and able to present the proposed topic at the 2023 AATB Annual Meeting and/or will submit a digital poster to be published by AATB within the timelines set forth by AATB.

Scientific and Administrative Abstract Submissions
Abstracts can be submitted in either the scientific or administrative category. They must be based on original work that has not been previously published or presented in any other copyrighted journal or abstract book. Abstracts may have been previously submitted at smaller/regional meetings but cannot be previously published.

Submission Deadlines
All abstract submissions must be completed by May 26, 2023. Accepted abstracts must submit digital posters by June 30, 2023.
