Thank you for considering submitting an abstract to the Faculty Practice Pre-Conference!

The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) invites abstracts to the January 19, 2022 Faculty Practice conference. The Faculty Practice Pre-conference is designed for those who promote, administer, and engage in faculty practice. The abstracts should characterize the conference theme “Faculty Practice: Leading Change” and reflect innovation and highlight topics around Social Justice, Health Equity, and Leadership in Doctoral Education.

General Information:
  • Abstracts will be presented in poster format (only).
  • Sub-committee members are not eligible to submit to this conference.
  • The primary author will be the point of contact for all communication with AACN.
  • Primary authors on all accepted abstracts must present in-person and register for in-person attendance for the conference.

Submission Guidelines:
Single author submission instructions:
  • List single author as primary author.
  • Primary authors are allowed a maximum of two (2) abstract submissions per conference. If more than two abstracts are submitted per author, only the first two submissions will be reviewed and eligible for acceptance.
  • The primary author must submit the abstract.
  • The primary author is the corresponding author and is the point of contact for all communication with AACN.
  • Abstract submissions that are incomplete after the submission deadline will not be eligible for presentation nor will they be considered for review.
  • Submissions shall not exceed 300 words overall and must include Background/Introduction, Purpose, Methods, Results, Limitations, Conclusions/Implications for Practice.

Poster Presentations will be in-person and at the conference venue-Naples Grande Beach Resort, FL
  • Poster Presentation
    Poster presentations are presented on double-sided poster boards holding one (1) poster per board. All posters should be oriented in landscape format and must not exceed 48" W x 36" H. In addition, posters will be featured in the Virtual Poster Showcase on the virtual Doctoral Education Conference platform with the option to provide a pre-recorded 2-minute video presentation.
