Call for Workshop Proposals
The News Literacy Project is pleased to invite proposals for dynamic, engaging professional learning sessions at its inaugural National News Literacy Conference, Oct. 8-10, 2026, at the Little America Hotel in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sessions should highlight and provide insights on some aspect of the conference theme — “Educating for a future founded on facts” — and be focused on deepening participants’ understanding of news literacy and help them teach it more effectively. Proposed sessions should also be aligned with one or more of the New Literacy Project’s five standards as described in its Framework for Teaching and advance one or more of NLP Grade Band Expectations.
