All proposals will be reviewed by the AVA 2026 D-Team. Presenters will be notified of acceptance decisions in late March 2026.

WHO IS AVA?
The Association for Vascular Access (AVA) is a not-for-profit, multidisciplinary professional organization recognized as the leader in vascular access education and research. Our mission is to:
- Improve patient safety, comfort, and outcomes
- Define and advance the vascular access specialty
- Promote evidence-based practice, knowledge, and skills
- Foster research, innovation, and best practices
- Advocate for favorable public policy
AVA members represent diverse disciplines—nursing, medicine, radiology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, research, education, industry, and more. Attendees join us from around the globe, bringing expertise across specialties such as interventional radiology, pediatrics, oncology, nephrology, infectious disease, anesthesiology, surgery, engineering, and beyond.
AVA 2026 ANNUAL SCIENTIFIC MEETING
2026 marks the 40th Annual AVA Scientific Meeting—a milestone gathering at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center, Grapevine, Texas. This four-day event (October 3–5, with Pre-Meeting Workshops on October 2) will bring together more than 1,300 professionals and 60–70 industry partners for world-class education, hands-on training, networking, and collaboration.
Highlights include:
- Engaging general sessions on clinical research, professional development, innovation, and evidence-based practice
- Breakout sessions and workshops designed for interactive learning
- Abstract and poster presentations showcasing original research and clinical innovations
- Platinum Showcases and exhibits highlighting the latest technologies and solutions
- Pre-Meeting Workshops offering in-depth exploration of high-priority topics
Important Information for Submissions
- Proposals are accepted for Breakout Sessions, General Sessions, and Hands-On Workshops
- Anyone may submit a proposal—AVA membership is not required
- All content must be educational and non-commercial
- Sessions may run 30–60 minutes, as determined by the selection committee
- Proposals undergo blinded peer review unless otherwise authorized by AVA
- Diversity, inclusion, and professional mentoring are guiding principles of AVA’s selection process
