Welcome to the CCS Call for Topics Submission Portal
The Call for Topics (CfT) season for Guidelines and Clinical Practice Updates (CPU) has arrived!
The Canadian Cardiovascular Society (CCS) Guidelines Committee is seeking CCS member submissions for potential Guideline and CPU development in the 2024 cycle. The Guideline Committee aims to approve 2–3 Guidelines/CPUs for the upcoming cycle. You must be a CCS member to submit a topic and work on the Guideline/CPU must not have already started.
The submission system opens on September 25, 2023 and closes on October 31, 2023 at 11:59 PM EDT.

Submission Requirements:
- Submitter’s complete contact information.
- Identify if the topic is a Guideline or CPU
- Title and summary (Up to 150 words) of the Guideline/CPU
- CCS Affiliate(s) that have been consulted. See CCS.ca for CCS Affiliates
- Scope and rationale for the proposed Guideline/CPU (Up to 1,000 words)
- A list of the target audience(s)
- Co-chair nominee(s) and Primary Panel member suggestions
- Date of last CCS Guideline or CPU publication, if applicable (see CCS.ca for Past Guideline/CPUs)
- Suggestions for knowledge translation approaches (evidence-based welcome) that addresses clinician and people with lived experience (PWLE) needs.
Submission Evaluation:
Submissions will be assessed using the evaluation rubric (link coming soon). All Guideline Committee members will assess each submission and will meet to identify successful topics.
