About the conference
The Medical Practice Excellence Conference is a new conference that replaces the MGMA Annual Conference. This new conference is the only national event to discuss all aspects of excellence in medical practices driving rapid and significant improvement to ambulatory care in all settings. Practice leaders across the spectrum of care will be recognized for their success, share winning strategies and learn from best practices in the business. The 4,000 plus attendees include a wide range of healthcare administrative professionals, ranging from new managers to seasoned executives from leading health care organizations.
Calling all qualified speakers
The conference will consist of more than 60 sessions, designed to meet the needs of this diverse audience. We are seeking proposals that deliver leading-edge information while engaging attendees with tools, case studies and interactive discussions to improve practice culture, efficiency and productivity.
Approximately 80% of the content for the conference will come from the call for proposals process. The submissions that include the following will be given the highest priority in the review process:
• Real-life scenarios that communicate the organization’s challenges and the demonstrated strategies used to resolve them.
• Metrics that quantify the improvements and how those results are attainable for others.
• Checklists, implementation guides, sample policies, action plans or other tools that attendees can use to implement the knowledge gained in the session.
• Concepts new to the field of health care.
• Elements of interactivity to increase audience engagement, such as polling, discussion, question and answer sessions or something else, surprise us!
• Sessions that address the needs of specific specialties.
• Solutions that can be replicated by attendees in their practices.
• Avoids promoting products or services.
• A list of previous sessions led by the speaker and references from those organizations.
The Medical Practice Excellence Conference, proposals should demonstrate excellence and innovative approaches in one of the following content areas to be included in the conferences five content studios in San Antonio:

Notification of selection
You will receive a notification on whether or not your presentation was selected. We look forward to reviewing your submission and hope to see you in San Antonio in 2020.

Participation Terms and Conditions
• Presenter compensation is limited to a waived conference registration fee.
• Waived conference registration fees are limited to the individuals listed in the proposal. Be sure to list ALL speakers who will present. It will be up to MGMA’s discretion if speakers can be added later in the process.
• If presenters are changed after the proposal is accepted, it is also up to MGMA's discretion whether the replacement may be responsible for paying for their conference registration, if accepted.
• To receive the waived conference fee, presenters must meet all deadlines for contracts, agreements, presentations, audio-visual requests, etc.
• Accepted sessions are required to offer a session tool, such as a checklist, assessment, white paper, etc. that provides practical implementation ideas for attendees.
• MGMA does not reimburse any expenses for presenters at the MGMA Annual Conference unless otherwise specified.
• Presenters may not promote any companies, products or services.
• Presenters are responsible for ensuring they adhere to all copyright laws.
• The presenter(s) will retain ownership of the original materials prepared in connection with the presentation, including audio/visual materials, handouts and biographical materials. The presenter(s) will retain the right to reuse these materials and to give the same or similar presentations in the future. However, should the submission be accepted, all session descriptions, titles and learning objectives entered for consideration during the submission process become the property of MGMA and may be used in this event or other educational events or products without the consent or notification of the submitter and presenter(s).
• MGMA reserves the right to change or edit titles, session descriptions, learning objectives, or content area designation of accepted submissions to better meet the needs of the audience and the continuing education standards. Submitters will be notified of these changes.
• The presenter agrees to present their session up to two times upon request from the conference planners.
