The American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) seeks presentation proposals from industry leaders and experts for the AHIMA22 Annual Conferences.

The AHIMA22 Annual Conference will convene in two formats (In-Person and Virtual):
  • In-Person Conference:
    October 9 – 12, 2022
    Greater Columbus Convention Center
    Columbus, Ohio, USA
  • Virtual Conference:
    November 10-11, 2022

    We are seeking presentation proposals for the AHIMA 22 Annual Conference to be presented as an in-person and virtual format. We seek proposals which communicate the unique perspective of the health information (HI) professional and identify important innovations, trends, and tools to ensure HI professionals adapt to and grow with the changing healthcare ecosystem. While patients do not often see us, we see the patient connected to the data. Consider submitting a proposal on how your work in healthcare positively impacts the lives and communities of patients.

    IMPORTANT NOTE: Should your session be chosen for the AHIMA22 Annual Conference to be held in person in Columbus, Ohio, please be prepared to present or record your in-person presentation for our virtual conference. A small group of the sessions presented in Columbus, Ohio will be asked to also present in the virtual conference. The virtual conference dates are November 10-11. Pre-recordings for the virtual conference will take place from 6-8 weeks prior to the November 10-11 dates.

    Submit your proposal by Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
    Please review the Submission Guidelines prior to starting your submission.

    Proposal Submission Process:
    You will receive an email from the submission site once your submission is started. This email will contain your unique ID and password. You may use your ID and password to access, view, and modify your proposal at any time before the submission deadline of Wednesday, March 16, 2022. Email Technical Support (Support@cadmiumcd.com) for help submitting a presentation proposal.

    The AHIMA22 Annual Conference Program Committee and AHIMA staff subject matter experts will review all presentation proposals and select the submissions to be included in the AHIMA22 Annual Conference (both in-person and virtual conferences). All status updates, including proposal selection, will be communicated via email. All submitters and presenters should add ahima.org to their list of approved senders to not miss any communication regarding the proposal(s).

    If you are submitting a presentation but will not serve as its presenter, please follow up with all presenters regarding any subsequent email notices received. Panel presentations are treated in the same fashion. Please note that for panels, if you are identified as the "Primary Presenter," it is your responsibility to coordinate all panelists as well as any presentation materials associated with the panel.
