Welcome to the ASAM Virtual 2021 Abstract Reviewer Application Site

Thank you for your interest in being an abstract reviewer for ASAM Virtual 2021. ASAM Virtual is the nation’s premiere event showcasing best practices and the latest science, research, and innovations in addiction medicine. Your efforts will greatly improve the quality of the education that ASAM is able to provide.

Abstract Reviewer Requirements:

All prospective abstract reviewers must be a current fellow-in-training at an ACGME Accredited Fellowship Program. If you are not a current fellow-in-training at an ACGME accredited fellowship program, but would like to get involved in ASAM's Educational Offerings, please email education@asam.org.

Approved reviewers will be asked to review 30-35 poster abstracts and/or session proposals after the first submission period ends. The review period for these abstracts or proposals will be between October 23rd and November 30th. Approved reviewers will also be asked to review between 20 - 25 poster abstracts after the second submission period ends. The review period for these abstracts will be January 25th to February 8th. Approved reviewers will receive additional instructions on how to complete their reviews after their approval.

Abstract Reviewer Application Process:

All fellows-in-training interested in being an abstract reviewer must complete a brief online application. Create a new account or login below to start your online application. The online application is comprised of the following parts:

1. Reviewer Information: Submit your contact information, professional information, and a brief biosketch.
2. Financial Disclosure: Complete the ACCME required disclosure form.
3. Description of Interest: Briefly describe your interest in addiction medicine and in participating in the ASAM Virtual 2021. (100-300 words each).

Abstract reviewer applications will be reviewed for completion, level of effort, and level of interest. Approved reviewers will be notified in early October. Please email education@asam.org if you do not receive an email by October 20th.
