Welcome to the FPA Retreat Call for Speakers Site

The Financial Planning Association (FPA) is pleased to announce its Call for Speakers for FPA Retreat 2024.

What we’re looking for
Our goal with FPA Retreat is to deliver advanced-level, cutting-edge content to our event participants. FPA Retreat is a curated experience and our volunteer Task Force will review each submission, however, we are only able to accommodate proposals that best meet our content and programming needs and have a limited number of breakout session slots available. Please note, we are currently seeking submissions for breakout sessions only. If you have an idea or speaker for a keynote session, please email conferences@onefpa.org with details. 

While proposals on a wide variety of topics will be accepted, the FPA Retreat Task Force has developed a list of preferred topics for this event. Preference may be given to proposals that touch on the following topics:

• Aging and Longevity
• Artificial Intelligence
• Business Challenges
  • Hiring, training, growing and retaining talent
• Communication
• Estate Planning
• Evolution of the Profession
• Financial Health and Well-being
• New Tax Legislation 
• Psychology of Financial Planning
• Succession Planning
  • Financing Strategies
  • Mistakes to avoid
• Technology

Who should submit and what does the process entail?
If you’re passionate about the financial planning profession or you’re a passionate financial planner with insights on topics that resonate with our group, you’re encouraged to add your voice to FPA Retreat 2024. Please visit the FPA Retreat Call for Speakers FAQs document which outlines the submission process. 

Deadline for submissions
The Call for Speakers is now open, and proposals are due by 11:59 PM [EST] on Monday, October 23, 2023. Speaker selections will be made in mid-November and sessions/speakers will be announced by the end of November.
