Overcoming Obesity 2022 Call for Proposals

The Obesity Medicine Association is now accepting presentation proposals for the Overcoming Obesity 2022 Conference that will be October 14 - 16, 2022, in Anaheim, California. The primary target audience for this conference are obesity medicine clinicians who either practice obesity medicine full time, or incorporate obesity medicine treatments somehow into their practice. Submittals are welcome for content related to Adult and Pediatrics. This conference provides content at a level that expands on the learners’ foundational knowledge in obesity medicine and each session should build on the learners’ familiarity and experience. The content may also focus on an integration of skills.

The following will be required when submitting your proposal:

  • Title and length of session (45, 60 or 75 min)
  • Session description and session rational
  • Session theme (choose from one of the four pillars your presentation falls under: Nutrition, Behavior, Physical Activity, Pharmacotherapy or select “Other”)
  • Presenter information (contact info, bio, resume)
  • 3 learning objectives
  • Presentation outline
  • Disclosures should you have them
  • 3 references for your presentation

Proposal Submission Deadline

February 25, 2022 @ 11:59 PM EST

Presenter Notification if Proposal is Selected (proposal submission does not guarantee proposal selection).

May 13, 2022

If selected, we require that all presenters be available in-person for our event in Anaheim and be available for Q&A during the Digital Experience November 2-5, 2022.

If selected to present, reimbursement for your travel expenses will be provided as per OMA policy (i.e. flight, transfers, hotel night, meals, etc.) as well as an honorarium for your talk.
