Welcome to the ITS America 2021 Annual Meeting Call for Papers & Sessions Submission Site

The ITS America 2021 Annual Meeting Call for Contributions is now open. This year we are looking for educating sessions and papers that will narrate this year’s theme Reimagining Transportation. The conference program will explore topics such as Intelligent Connected & Automated Vehicles, The Path to Vision Zero, Sustainability & Resilience, Pandemic Impact on Transportation & Mobility, Mobility on Demand/MaaS, Data Sharing & Secure Networks, and Emerging Technologies and more cross cutting technologies.

The event will bring together the entire intelligent transportation community for (4) days of thought-provoking education, networking, technical tours and demonstrations exploring products, emerging technologies and solutions that will enable a better future transformed by intelligent mobility – “Reimagining Transportation.” Conference Audience: The programming will serve the entire spectrum of Intelligent Transportation Systems and the mobility ecosystem including: Public Sector Agencies including State Department of Transportations, Cities, Metropolitan Planning Organizations, Transportation Operators and Manufacturers, Research Analysts, Educational Institutions, Consulting Firms, Architects, Engineers, Investors/Venture Capitalists, Innovative urban mobility players—micro-mobility, ride sharing, ride hailing, scooters, Mobility on Demand—public transit, urban air mobility (e.g. helicopters, drones) and more!

EXTENDED Deadline for Submission: Friday, April 30, 2021
  • Papers must be submitted no later than Friday, April 30, 2021.
  • Paper authors may submit up to three papers .
  • Session proposal organizers may submit up to four proposals .
Submission Process:
  • Complete and submit paper submissions and session proposals in the proposal form.
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon submission.
  • Sessions will be reviewed by the Charlotte Events Committee and Papers will be peer reviewed.
  • Submitters will be notified of the decisions by email starting June 1.
  • All correspondence and notifications will be sent electronically to the email addresses listed on the submission form.
  • Delivering a session at an ITS America 2021 Annual Meeting is done on a voluntary unpaid basis.
  • All of the speakers individual travel and living expenses are at their own expense.
Selection Criteria:
  • Relevance and timeliness of topic
  • Innovation and tactical focus
  • Quality of proposal (alignment of session description and learning objectives)
  • Expertise of presenter(s)
  • Commercial-free, vendor-neutral nature of session proposal
Speaker Compensation:
  • A discounted speaker rate is provided to all presenters.
