2019 Council on Sports Medicine and Fitness (COSMF) Abstracts Program

• Abstracts submitted to the Council on Sports Medicine & Fitness should be focused on pediatric and young adult sports medicine and fitness topics relevant to the clinician. Abstracts will be accepted for podium (oral) presentations as well as poster presentations.
• This council will consider original research and/or clinical case reports. Submissions by members and non-members of the Council on Sports Medicine & Fitness are welcome; participation is open to health professionals in any field. Young Faculty, pediatric fellows, residents and medical students are encouraged to submit.
• Two awards will be given for the Oded Bar-Or Award, with first place receiving $250 and second place $150 for the best research or clinical case podium presentation. The recipient may be a Pediatric Resident or Fellow at any accredited program, a Fellow of the AAP who is a member of the COSMF, or an Athletic Trainer or Physical Therapist. Submission will not be accepted if they have been previously published or presented at another meeting.
• Presenters of accepted abstracts should notify Kelsey Logan (Kelsey.Logan@cchmc.org) as soon as possible if they must cancel their presentation.

This year, we will be accepting abstracts describing quality improvement projects. These abstracts may be eligible for free MOC Part 4 credit through the AAP’s Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Portfolio. Additional details are available here.
