Call for Abstracts

ATI Nursing Education is currently accepting abstract submissions for poster presentations at the 2021 National Nurse Educator Summit. The Summit will focus on the critical issues facing nursing and healthcare today, with topics to help educators prepare for nursing's exciting future.

Call for Abstracts
Abstracts must describe completed projects, and all work should be original. Abstract submissions should explore research studies and/or scholarly works that address common challenges in nursing education, including but not limited to:
  • Strategies to promote clinical reasoning, clinical judgment, and clinical practice
  • Incorporating QSEN, Massachusetts Nurse of the Future, NLN or AACN competencies into the nursing curriculum
  • Incorporating technology or informatics into nursing education
  • Development of a professional, ethical nurse
  • Development of effective communication and conflict negotiation skills
  • Promoting self-care among nurses
  • Implementing innovative learning strategies to improve student learning or to transform nursing education
  • Implementing evidence-based practice initiatives to identify outcomes that improve clinical nursing education and/or practice
  • Using standardized assessments (e.g., policies, benchmarks, remediation) to improve program and/or learner outcomes
Abstracts will be evaluated through a blind review process by a panel of expert nurse educators.



Format
Abstracts should be categorized as one of the following:
  • Research Abstract
  • Evidence-Based Practice Abstract
  • ATI Best Practice
The required fields for abstracts will include:
  • Title (limit 12 words): Provide an informative and complete title that accurately represents the purpose of the study or project.
  • Purpose (limit 75 words): Provide a brief description of the problem/issue under investigation and the intended outcomes or goal(s) of your research study or scholarly project.
  • Introduction (limit 75 words): Provide a brief summary of what is known about the topic of your research study or scholarly project and how your study/project addresses a specific need in nursing education. Include the research question or PICOT question, if applicable.
  • Methodology / Implementation (limit 150 words): Describe the methods, strategies, or interventions that were used to implement your research study or scholarly project.
  • Evaluation / Results (limit 150 words): Present the key results/outcomes of your research study or scholarly project.
  • Conclusion / Recommendations (limit 50 words): Concisely state the conclusions of your research study or scholarly project. Provide recommendations as to how to integrate the results/outcomes of your research study or scholarly project into nursing education.



Submission deadline
Abstract submissions must be received no later than July 26, 2021. If you have any questions, please email abstracts@atitesting.com.



Acceptance notification
Authors will be notified of the status of their submission no later than August 27, 2021.
