The Central States Region Design Awards celebrates outstanding work in the Central States region of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma. Entries must be designed by licensed architects who are located within the Central States region, or must be projects located within the Central States region designed by licensed architects located anywhere. Highest quality design, informed by The AIA Framework for Design Excellence, progresses the profession toward a zero-carbon, healthy, just, resilient, and equitable built environment.

Award Category Descriptions

Submission Requirements: In order to complete the online form, you will need the following:

• Project Summary
• Team Contact Information
• Project Description/Plans (pdf of a minimum of 12 and not more than 20 pages and a maximum of 20 MB) A Power Point template is available but not required. Click here for template.
• Entry Fees:
  - $200 - AIA Members
  
  

Submission Site:

• You may continue to revisit and revise your entry until the deadline, but no refunds will be issued for submissions that are disqualified, late or incomplete.
• Each entry will be assigned a unique entry number that should accompany each pdf project presentation upload.
• Projects must be entered one at a time.
• No more than one entry is allowed per each credit card transaction.
• Entry fees are nonrefundable and must be paid online.
  
  

Deadline: All submissions must be received before 11:59 PM (Central Time) on August 3, 2026. The submission deadline date will be strictly observed, with no exception.
