CALL FOR SESSION PROPOSALS

Submission Deadline Extended: Thursday, August 10, 2023, at 11:59 pm ET

(No further extensions will be granted.)

Please review the guidelines carefully as session proposal submissions that do not adhere to the submission requirements may not qualify to be reviewed by the Committee on Scientific Program (CSP). Each session proposal must be completed and submitted via the online submission portal.

  • At least one ACOG member must be included in each session proposal. A proposal may not exceed three presenters.
  • Sessions are 60 minutes in length.
  • Proposals must identify one primary speaker to serve as the primary point of contact.
  • Owners and employees of commercial companies cannot be considered for presentation.
  • The presentation content must be relevant, accurate, balanced, and include evidence-based recommendations.
  • Presentations that promote corporate products or services will not be accepted. Corporate support, if any, must be disclosed.
  • ALL faculty must complete ALL forms for the submission to be considered.
  • ALL faculty must read and abide by ACOG’s policies (ACOG Code of Professional Ethics, the ACOG Statement of Values, the ACOG Sexual Misconduct Statement of Policy, and the ACOG Meetings Anti-Harassment Policy).
  • Artwork, images, tables, and graphs cannot be included in the submission.
  • If your proposal is selected, you will be required to present the session in person and are required to register for the conference. Each approved faculty will receive a complimentary one-day registration or a 50% discount for a full conference registration. 
  • If your proposal is selected, edits may be made to your session to align with ACOG’s branding style.
  • If your proposal is selected, any changes to content and/or faculty must be approved by ACOG’s planning committee.
  • If your proposal is selected, a draft version of the presentation must be submitted early for review for CME eligibility.

Submitters should select a preferred session type and submit an outline that includes the following details:

  • content of the course
  • intended learner/audience
  • benefits of attending the course
  • the value/need of the subject matter
  • how your session content represents diverse perspectives
  • how your session will achieve identified learning outcomes
  • what teaching techniques will be applied

Examples of session topics include:

  • review of clinical evidence and guidelines
  • presentation of novel programs with evaluation
  • quality improvement topics
  • discussions of clinical controversy
  • future trends in the field of obstetrics and gynecology
  • practice management and physician wellbeing

The primary speaker will receive electronic notification of session selection by the end of November 2023.
