Proposal Guidelines

IECA's semi-annual conferences are attended by over 1,200 independent educational consultants, school, college and program admissions officers, administrators and staff, and related service companies. Conferences feature thought provoking and informative workshops and discussions led by leaders in their fields, including specialists in educational trends, college admissions and boarding schools issues, adolescent development, learning differences, and emotional disorders and treatments.

Submission Information

Proposal Submission Criteria: Breakout and Post-Conference session descriptions should be no more than 75 words, maximum. It is recommended that you draft your brief description in a Word document before submitting online.

IECA is fully committed to an in-person gathering in Philadelphia. However, should circumstances change, we reserve the right to switch to a virtual format. We ask that all submitters feel comfortable with either an in-person or virtual presentation.

Selection Process

Please submit your proposal by January 7, 2022, at 11:59 PM ET in order to be considered for the IECA Spring 2022 Conference. Upon completing the form, you will receive an automatic email confirmation of a successful submission for your records. Notifications will be sent to the main contact in February.

Sessions will be selected based on how well they serve the educational needs of this knowledgeable, highly educated, and experienced audience of professionals by presenting new information on various points of views.

Registration

Registration for the conference is not a requirement to present. However, if you would like to attend any other sessions or program events, including the School and College Fair or the Therapeutic Information Swap, registration is required as only fully registered attendees will have access to conference events. You will receive more information about registration upon acceptance.

Honoraria

Generally, there is no provision for honoraria for workshop presenters, and no reduction in conference registration fees should a speaker or presenter wish to attend any part of the conference other than their own session. IECA members and affiliated admission officers volunteer their services to the Program Committee and conference without reimbursement for travel expenses, registration fees, or honoraria with the understanding of the professional value in being viewed as an expert.
