Symposium on Advanced Wound Care Spring (SAWC Spring) 2026 Abstract Submission Portal

SAWC Spring 2026 is accepting Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions through Monday, March 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET.

Late-Breaking Abstract Submissions

To ensure important new science and real-world clinical findings are represented this year, SAWC Spring WHS is accepting late-breaking abstracts for a limited time. If recent policy or reimbursement shifts delayed your data or analysis, this is your opportunity to share your research. This submission window is intended to capture timely, clinically meaningful work.

The Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC) is committed to providing the highest level of clinical education and information for physicians, nurses, physical therapists, researchers, podiatrists, and dietitians involved in wound healing or wound care issues.

Abstracts are blind-reviewed by a panel of experts. Each abstract will be reviewed based on the specific criteria for the category selected. Therefore, it is very important for the author to specify the appropriate category for each abstract.

Abstract Presentation

The Late-Breaking submission cycle is ONLY eligible for one presentation type, Poster Presentation Only. Be sure to select this presentation category when submitting your abstract for this cycle.

Acceptance & Correspondence:

It is important to note that acceptance from a previous SAWC does not give you automatic acceptance to the current or future SAWC meetings. Each SAWC meeting requires a new submission for consideration.
Primary Contact
All abstract communications will be sent to the primary contact/submitter. The primary contact will be responsible for notifying all authors of important details and deadlines. Please save abstractsubmissions@hmpglobal.com to your address book so that you do not miss important correspondences. Additionally, the website will be updated with any important dates or instructions. We are not responsible for any e-mails that are not received due to misspellings, defunct e-mail accounts, or e-mails blocked from abstractsubmissions@hmpglobal.com.
Disposition/Notification of Acceptance
Abstracts will be accepted on a competitive basis. The acceptance/rejection notification e-mail will be sent to the primary contact. DO NOT inquire about the status of your submission before the date noted at the top of this page, as no further information will be available. Prior to the meeting, all information will be forwarded to the primary contact only and they are responsible for notifying all the other authors of upcoming details.
Intent to Present
Upon acceptance notification, SAWC will require proof of registration for all accepted abstract presenters, including poster and oral or podium presenters. After registering, it is the designated primary contact’s responsibility to mark his/her Intent to Present through the abstract submissions site by providing the badge number of the registered representative. The badge number can be found on your registration confirmation. Instructions on this process will be included in your acceptance e-mail. Even though you may be registered for SAWC, Intent to Present must still be submitted. If the Intent to Present is not submitted by the date included in your acceptance e-mail, the abstract will be withdrawn.
