Key Details for Your Submission

💰 Submission Fee

A $55 abstract submission fee is required for each abstract submitted. This fee directly supports the abstract program, helping us maintain this valuable opportunity for hospital medicine professionals. SHM is committed to keeping this fee as low as possible.

📍 Presentation Format

The RIV competition is an in-person, onsite event at SHM Converge in Nashville. Accepted abstracts are required to be presented in person to be eligible for awards and publication.

📄 Presentation Types

Based on reviewer scores, your abstract could be selected for a:

Poster Presentation
Finalist Presentation
Oral Presentation
Plenary Presentation (The highest-rated abstracts)
