Call for Proposals

Deadline: October 19, 2026

Submission Guide (PDF)

The 2027 AAMC Biomedical Research Conference brings together the leaders, administrators, faculty, and professionals who support and advance the research enterprise across academic health centers, research-intensive universities, medical schools, and affiliated institutions. The AAMC Biomedical Research Advancement, Training, and Oversight Group Program Committee invites proposals for:
  • Concurrent sessions - Explore community-specific or cross-functional topics, challenges, innovations, and best practices through in-depth presentations and discussions.
  • Rapid-fire talks - Share innovative practices, emerging ideas, pilot programs, research findings, and other timely topics in this fast-paced format.
  • Introducing a new format! “What Would You Do?” (WWYD) Talks - Present a brief, case-based exploration of a real-world challenge, dilemma, or difficult decision.
Note: A separate Call for Poster submissions will be launched at a later date.

Submissions can either be designed to address issues and/or topics important to one or more of the communities of practice: COI and Research Compliance, Institutional Research Leaders, and Research Training and Education (Graduate, MD-PhD, and Postdoctoral).

Important Information
  • Submitters are strongly encouraged to read the Submission Guide.
  • Please remember that the submission does not need to be finalized in one session. You can access your proposal at any time prior to the submission deadline: October 19, 2026.
  • Only completed submissions will be reviewed (i.e., all fields in the online form must be completed).
  • Include as much detail as you are able so the Program Committee can accurately assess the proposal.
  • Your acceptance of an invitation to present an approved session proposal requires a commitment to attend the meeting and to help organize and/or present at the session. Note that session proposal submitters/speakers are responsible for their own costs associated with meeting registration and travel.
  • The Program Committee encourages all speakers and panelists to include examples, case studies, and potential solutions throughout your proposal (e.g., detailed description, learning objectives).
  • The Program Committee reserves the right to consolidate submissions and/or recommend any additional speakers or content related changes that will enhance the presentation’s relevance to the audience.
