Welcome to the 2019 CGSA/SGSA/COSR/SOSR Regional Spring Meeting
The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2018.
We invite you to submit proposals for joint 2019 Southern and Central Region GSA/OSR spring meeting being held from Friday, April 12th to Sunday April 14th in Louisville Kentucky. This conference will focus on important emerging issues in student affairs, including professionalism, the landscape for admissions, social justice, innovation in medical education, and pathways for supporting student success. Louisville is the ideal location for this meeting as it sits at the crossroads of America and on the border between the Southern and Central regions. Louisville has a long history of medical education (17th oldest medical school in the country), as well as a rich history in the civil rights movement, led by Muhammad Ali, among others.
We recommend that you prepare your proposal in a word processing application and then paste each component into the corresponding online section. An abstract submission is considered a commitment to attend the meeting and present if accepted, and an acknowledgement of the costs associated with travel and meeting registration. All abstracts will undergo a peer-review process. We reserve the right to assign an alternate presentation format for selected proposals. Students, residents, fellows, and new investigators are strongly encouraged to submit their work.
