Hall of Leaders and Pacesetter Award Nominations

Hall of Leaders

The Hall of Leaders is the premier recognition programme in the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, hospitality and travel industry—a "lifetime achievement award" that recognises outstanding leaders without whom the industry would not be what it is today. Hall of Leaders Inductees are:

• pioneers - whose contributions helped to shape the industry and whose work continues to advance it;
• influential - leaders whose work has affected the entire industry;
• prolific - demonstrating distinguished achievements of lasting value, including significant leader roles, development of original ideas, techniques or innovations in products, training or services for use in the industry;
• altruistic - contributing to charitable efforts, their communities and the welfare of others.

Induction into the Hall of Leaders will take place at a gala celebration during IMEX America in Las Vegas, Nevada. A profile of each inductee will be added to the Events Industry Council’s virtual Hall of Leaders to globally reach, impact and inspire future generations of industry leaders.

Pacesetter Award

The Pacesetter Award celebrates emerging leaders and their present day accomplishments in the meetings, conventions, exhibitions, hospitality and travel industry. There are three categories of the Pacesetter Award:

• young professionals – Young professionals with a proven track record of successful leadership and whose forward thinking and innovative approach led to groundbreaking changes (or actions) that are making a palpable impact on the industry today.
• sustainability and social responsibility – Advocates whose proactive leadership on social responsibility initiatives and impassioned drive around sustainability issues are moving the industry closer to an overall adoption of accepted standards and best practices.
• leadership and innovation – Innovators whose ideas, approaches and concepts are changing the way we think about meetings and events. The implementation of these ideas is moving the industry forward in groundbreaking ways.

Awardees will be recognized during a gala celebration at IMEX America in Las Vegas, Nevada.
