CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS: EMS World Expo 2023

EMS World is proud to announce that it is currently accepting proposals for presentations at the 2023 EMS World Expo Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 18-22, 2023.

EMS World Expo is the largest EMS-focused conference in the world and is widely attended by all levels of EMS clinicians and practitioners. EMS World Expo is looking for cutting-edge, progressive, and educationally sound topics that are relevant to the EMS community. The EMS World Expo audience includes EMTs, Paramedics, Physicians, Nurses, and other healthcare professionals. Specifically, we are looking for presentations in the following areas:
  • Fundamentals
  • Clinical Paramedicine
  • Critical Care Paramedicine
  • Community Paramedicine
  • Health and Wellness
  • Leadership, Management and Operations
  • Education
  • Research

Main conference sessions at EMS World Expo are 60 minutes in duration. Pre-conference Presentations typically vary from 4 to 8 hours in length. The keynote presentation is typically 30-60 minutes in length.

Proposals may include one or more presenters. The maximum number of proposals that are accepted for consideration is five (5) proposals. Multiple proposals are encouraged.

Session proposals are due by December 02, 2022 at 11:59 PM EST!

To submit presentation proposals, log into the Abstract Scorecard below and complete the application. The proposal application must be completed in its entirety in order to submit proposals.

If the proposal is accepted by EMS World, further instructions will be provided at that time.

Proposals will be accepted via the Abstract Scorecard only. E-mailed session proposals will NOT be considered. Speakers are not permitted to promote or market a product, company or service in their presentations.


Each proposal must include the following:
  • A 1-2 paragraph abstract for each presentation proposal.
  • A general outline for each presentation proposal.
  • Three course objectives for each hour of presentation.
Presenter required information:
  • The names and credentials of each presenter as they would like it listed in the conference.
  • A current CV or resume for each presenter.
  • A one paragraph professional biography for each presenter which will be used in conference promotion.
  • A detailed explanation of why the presenter(s) are qualified to speak on the proposed topics.

Tips for Successful Session Proposals
  • Top consideration is given to new, high-quality and/or timely topics that have not been previously presented at EMS World Expo or other national/regional conferences.
  • Strong consideration will be given to sessions that focus on evidence based medicine, best practices, and solutions for EMS clinicians and leaders.
  • Each presentation proposal should answer the following questions:
    • What are the objectives of the presentation?
    • What value will attendees gain by attending the presentation?
    • What actionable information will attendees be able to take home to their department or service?

Members of the Expo Review Board evaluate all proposed sessions using the following criteria:
  • The overall quality of the presentation proposal (organization, grammar/spelling, and appearance).
  • Relevance to the EMS community.
  • Well-defined focus within the program track structure.
  • Practical applications of material.
  • Timeliness of the topic.
  • Specific subject matter expertise by the presenter on the specific presentation topic.
