Together We Lead: Unite, Reimagine, Align is a joint national meeting of three AAMC affinity groups committed to advancing and empowering learners, faculty, administrators, and professional staff through networking, leadership, and professional development to support transformation in medical education. This meeting provides a valuable opportunity for collaborative learning, leadership development, and community-building across institutions.
This joint meeting convenes attendees from medical schools and teaching hospitals across the U.S. and Canada to share priorities, explore strategies, and strengthen the systems and services that support the academic medicine community—creating a unique opportunity to connect with peers and thought leaders, engage in meaningful conversations, and co-create solutions that advance the success and well-being of learners, faculty, and staff.
Meeting Objectives
This collaborative professional development meeting is designed to shape the future of
academic medicine and reflects the AAMC’s ongoing commitment to cultivating

- Provide professional development and leadership opportunities that promote the engagement and well-being of faculty, administrators, and professional staff.
- Strengthen institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange across the academic medicine community.
Collaborations
We invite you to submit session and poster abstracts that contribute to the conference’s mission of advancing learner support and institutional excellence. The Program Planning Committee will give the strongest consideration to collaborative submissions that embody the solutions-focused, cross-institutional approach of this joint meeting. Submissions should:
- Address issues and/or topics important to all attending constituencies.
- Focus on issues and/or topics meaningful to a clearly identified subset of the groups.
- Reflect on multi-institutional perspectives or approaches that connect different parts of the organization.
Review Criteria
All submissions will be reviewed based on the following criteria: relevance, audience engagement, collaboration, learning objectives and take-home values, learning application, and clarity of writing. The Committee reserves the right to suggest submission consolidation, where appropriate, and will notify submitters directly of such recommendations.
