The CCS Research Fellowships and Awards program was established to foster growth of peer-reviewed Canadian cardiovascular research and researchers. With support from like-minded organizations committed to empowering clinician scientists nationally, the CCS Research Fellowships and Awards program supports topics of research that span the various areas of cardiovascular medicine. The CCS, and all program partners, encourage all eligible CCS members to apply, especially women, Aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and members of visible minorities.


CCS − Bayer Cardiovascular Research Award

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society and Bayer Inc. are proud to support the 2022 CCS-Bayer Cardiovascular Research Award. With this award, we hope to further research in thrombosis, anticoagulation, stroke, heart failure, atrial fibrillation or cardiac imaging to improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these conditions, and their families. The program is particularly interested in research that has the potential to advance knowledge about or improve the care of patients at risk for vascular, thrombotic or embolic events.

CCS/HSRLCE/BI-Lilly Cardiometabolic Research Award

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society, Heart & Stroke / Richard Lewar Centre of Excellence in Cardiovascular Research, and the BI-Lilly Alliance are proud to support the 2022 CCS-HSRLCE-BI-Lilly Cardiometabolic Research Award. With this award, we hope to further research on the link between cardiovascular disease in diabetes to improve the lives of Canadians who are affected by these conditions, and their families.

CCS − HLS Atherosclerosis Research Award

The Canadian Cardiovascular Society and HLS Therapeutics are proud to support the 2022 CCS/HLS Atherosclerosis Research Award. This research award will support innovative groundbreaking clinical research projects in the area of atherosclerosis.  Priority will be given to research that has the potential to advance clinical knowledge of atherosclerosis process linked to inflammation, membrane stability and biomarkers. 

Award:
A single award of $35,000 will be awarded based on an independent peer review process.
