Late-breaking Abstracts
The late-breaking abstract submission period will run from August 3-17, 2026. Details about late-breaking abstracts will be available in the Abstracts section of acgmeetings.gi.org in mid-July.
Guidelines for late-breaking abstracts will be the same as for the general submission period abstracts, with the following additional conditions:
- Abstracts will be considered only if they detail high-quality clinical research results that were not available or fully analyzed at the general abstract deadline (June 1, 2026).
- Abstracts that were already considered during the general abstract period should NOT be resubmitted.
- Case reports will not be considered.
- Late-breaking abstracts are only considered for oral presentation and not for poster presentation.
- Authors of accepted abstracts are required to register as an attendee of the Annual Scientific Meeting and are expected to present in person at the meeting.
- Submissions accepted as late-breaking abstracts will not be published in the online abstract issue of The American Journal of Gastroenterology.
