Application Announcement: AAMC CHARGE Community Ambassadors
Are you interested in demonstrating and building your expertise, strengthening your network, and pioneering a virtual platform? Are you passionate about all communities having a genuine opportunity to thrive?
The AAMC Collaborative for Health Equity: Act, Research, Generate Evidence (CHARGE) is looking for three (3) community ambassadors to cocreate and host events and to enrich our virtual coworking space. AAMC CHARGE Ambassadors will create and facilitate virtual discussions, events, and collaborations.
Who We Are
AAMC CHARGE cultivates the health equity community by advancing collaborative research, policy, and programmatic solutions to health and health care inequities. We are a global community of over 1,700 health equity champions representing the diverse sectors and organizations that contribute to a community’s health.
The vision of AAMC CHARGE is an equitable and just society in which academic health systems and their multisector and community partners:
- Prioritize health equity research, action, and policy change.
- Partner with communities, families, patients, and sectors outside health care to address the many factors that contribute to a community's health
- Advocate for structural changes that address the root causes of health inequities.
How You Will Make an Impact
- Serve a 12-month term starting November 1, 2025 and ending October 30, 2026;
- Participate in a one-hour orientation during the week of October 13, 2025.
- Promote engagement and participation with the AAMC CHARGE Virtual Community by:
- Posting at least four times per month (new threads, shared files, replies, etc.), and
- Replying to any unanswered threads and/or threads with less than two replies,
- Actively engage in monthly one-hour calls for a programming pulse check and to share tips/resources/challenges;
- Plan and host quarterly virtual speed networking events;
- Plan and host at least two AAMC CHARGE webinars or events;
- Participate in any program evaluation activities (e.g., complete quarterly, end-of-term surveys); and
- Be featured in an Who's in CHARGE? Member Spotlight.
Estimated time commitment:
Ambassadors can expect to commit two to three hours per month for one year with the option to extend for an additional term if requirements of the position were fulfilled during the previous term.
Please note that CHARGE Ambassadors will receive a financial award for actively completing a 12-month term.

- Become a member of AAMC CHARGE.
- Join the Virtual Community (specify AAMC CHARGE when you register).
