Membership Deadline
September 1, 2026, 5:00 PM ET
Last day to submit a SAR membership application to qualify for Scientific Abstract or Educational Exhibit Abstract submission.
Avoid Duplicates
Do not submit the same abstract more than once or in multiple categories. Overlapping submissions may be rejected.

Educational Workshops
Live Teaching Session

Educational Workshops
Live Teaching SessionLive teaching sessions on a topic of interest to SAR attendees. Workshops are typically presented by two faculty and include 25 minutes of presentation time plus 5 minutes for Q&A.
What to Submit
- Workshop title
- Workshop description, maximum 60 words
Who Can Submit
- All presenters must be SAR members in good standing
- Presenters must have completed training. (Trainees are not eligible to submit)
Presenter Participation Limit
- Each Educational Workshop presenter may be listed on a maximum of two Educational Workshop proposals total, regardless of whether they are the submitting presenter or listed as a co-presenter. This limit applies to all individuals named on the proposal.
Submitter Responsibility
- The submitting presenter is responsible for confirming that all listed co-presenters have reviewed and approved the proposal, completes the disclosure requirement, understands the registration and physical presence requirements, and are aware that being listed as a presenter counts toward their two-proposal participation limit.

Scientific Abstracts
Original Research • Oral or PosterHypothesis-driven, original research in abdominal radiology. Accepted submissions are generally presented as a 6-minute oral presentation followed by 2 minutes of Q&A, although some may be accepted as scientific posters.
What to Submit
- Abstract limited to 350 words
- Required sections: Purpose; Materials and Methods; Results; Conclusion, including clinical relevance
- Required: one figure or table in PDF format
Originality Rules
- Must be original research
- Previously presented at a closed session of another society is eligible
- Previously published papers, posters, or abstracts accepted for publication are not eligible
If Accepted
- Submission may be assigned as an oral presentation or scientific poster
- Final format is determined by the Scientific Program Planning Committee
- All oral presentations are in person only
Special Opportunities
- Select top-scoring abstracts may be invited to the Scientific Highlights Oral Workshop
- Highlighted abstracts require an electronic educational exhibit for viewing during the Annual Meeting
- Trainees may be considered for travel awards for accepted oral scientific abstract presentations

Electronic Educational ContentEducational Exhibit Abstracts present educational content in an electronic format to review topics, new technology, procedures, or discoveries in abdominal radiology.
What to Submit
- Abstract limited to 350 words
- Required sections: Learning Objectives/Aims; Background; Content; Summary and Clinical Implications
Required Slide Upload
- 3–5 content slides required at submission
- No video or animation
- Include at least three slides with images or illustrations
- Include one summary slide with clinical implications
If Accepted
- Accepted Educational Exhibit Abstracts will be created and uploaded in electronic format
- Select top-scoring exhibits may be invited to the Educational Highlights Oral Workshop

For New Fellows • Original Research

For New Fellows • Original ResearchPower Science Abstracts are hypothesis-driven, original research performed by clinical abdominal/body radiology fellows who began fellowship on or after July 1, 2026.
What to Submit
- Abstract limited to 350 words
- Required sections: Purpose; Materials and Methods; Results; Conclusion, including clinical relevance
- Required: one figure or table in PDF format
Eligibility
- Must be enrolled in a current clinical abdominal/body radiology fellowship program for 2026–2027
- Proof of fellowship status must be uploaded during submission
- Additional Power Science guidance may be provided on the submission site welcome page
If Accepted
- Submission may be assigned as an oral presentation or scientific poster
- Final format is determined by the Scientific Program Planning Committee
- All oral presentations are in person only
