Welcome to the OHCA Annual Convention & Exposition
Thank you for your interest in presenting at the 2027 Ohio Health Care Association Annual Convention & Expo!
OHCA is looking for knowledgeable and engaging speakers who can bring practical, relevant and forward-thinking education to Ohio’s long-term care professionals. Our goal is to provide attendees with education they can put to work—not simply information they can take notes on. We are especially interested in presentations that incorporate real-life examples, case studies, scenarios, problem-solving, group activities and other opportunities for attendees to actively participate and apply what they are learning.
What We’re Looking For
Proposals should offer meaningful content that is relevant to today’s long-term care professionals and provide attendees with practical ideas, strategies and tools they can take back to their organizations. All sessions are expected to include:
Audience interaction – Engage participants through case studies, real-life scenarios, group discussion, problem-solving, exercises, polling, demonstrations or other interactive approaches.
Practical application – Help attendees connect the content to situations they encounter in their daily work.
Actionable takeaways – End the session with specific actions attendees can take immediately, within the next week, within the next month, or within another defined timeframe.
Relevant and engaging content – Go beyond basic information to provide insights, strategies and ideas that will benefit the intended audience.
Session Lengths
Sessions may be offered in 30-minute, 60-minute or 75-minute formats. During the application process, you may indicate which format(s) you are comfortable presenting.
OHCA will determine the final session length and placement based on the overall conference schedule and educational needs. Speakers should be prepared to adjust the depth of content and interactive activities to fit the assigned timeframe.
Before You Begin
Please be prepared to provide:
* Session title
* Session description for use in conference marketing
* Intended audience and experience level
* Session length(s) you are comfortable presenting
* Description of your planned audience interaction
* Specific action items and takeaways attendees will gain from the session
* Speaker information and qualifications - Anyone can apply to be a presenter at the Annual Convention (we encourage applications to include provider representatives in addition to consultants).
We appreciate your willingness to share your expertise with OHCA members and conference attendees. Thank you for helping us create an educational experience that is engaging, practical and valuable for Ohio’s long-term care professionals.
We look forward to reviewing your proposal!
